Regional Seasonal Weather: Late Fall turning to Winter
The realms follow the same seasonal calender as the North American continent. This page will give you an idea of what to expect in the various realms from season to season. It'll be updated as the seasons change, so every now and then, you might want to check it.
The southern realms; Sava, Baliose, Tog, and the southern regions of Aris, Garas, Nelva Chi, and Shala Ves, are fairly warm year round. Because they're so far south, only the very high mountains see any snow at all, and their temperatures don't fluctuate all that much from season to season. Within the realms, they're the closest thing to tropical, and generally the wettest in Fall and Winter.
From southern Isaul, and Camira's Ruins of Og, expect damp and chilly weather, especially at night. The regions that have forests are heavily evergreen, so there isn't much of the color change one finds in Wildebury, Elvenia, Namun, Vor, or the northern regions of Camira. These area receive little to no snow, but they do get a fair amount of rain during the Fall and Winter months, but not nearly as much the southern realms.
From northern Camira and Wildebury to just south of the northern borders of Eleur Province, Elvenia, and Rast, expect periodic light snows, freezing night temperatures, and thin to medium ice on puddles and water buckets. The only remaining green vegetation will be evergreens. Most other trees have shed their leaves, and much of the smaller shrubs and grasses are well on their way to turning brown.
From Elvenia and Rast's northern border to the mainland's northern coast, expect periodic heavier snows and freezing winds, dangerous night temperatures, and puddles and water buckets often frozen solid, even the black lake may have a collar of ice in the small inlets along it's shoreline. Be prepared for unexpected white-out snow storms that dump up to a foot of snow before blowing themselves out.
The northern island realms are covered by a thick blanket of snow and ice year round. The only real change to their seasons is the positioning of the sun. Their Winter is virtually dark round the clock, while their Summer is the exact opposite. It makes for interesting living in the colder regions.
